The SPICE Program - Special People in Catholic Education. SPICE is a Parish learning community organization focused on inclusion and addressing the variety of unique student learning needs within our parish learning community. This includes the needs of all children - typical, developmental and accelerated learners.
SPICE currently and previously provided support of our students in a number of ways including:
“Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us exercise them: if prophecy, in proportion to the faith; if ministry, in ministering; if one is a teacher, in teaching; if one exhorts, in exhortation; if one contributes, in generosity; if one is over others,* with diligence; if one does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” - Romans 12:6-8

I am most pleased that we have a SPICE program here at St. Matthew Parish to encourage and develop the gifts of our students who have different styles of learning. Our SPICE program strives continually to meet these students' special needs. By provideing this specialized help, we are able to be inclusive in the way we live our parish motto: Worship, Serve, Evangelize. It is my prayer that you will support our inclusion efforts to provide for the unique needs of these children. We have a responsibility to let these youth know that we lovingly accompany them as family on their journey with out parish.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Father Theodore K. Sill
